Bio:

Annette Tyman is a Partner at the law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  She chairs the People Analytics practice group and regularly advises employers on diversity, equity and inclusion workforce analytics and the legally compliant use of machine learning in the workplace.  Annette collaborates with employers and vendors to design, develop and implement machine learning while mitigating the legal risks associated with its use.   Annette has also provided testimony on proposed labor and employment legislation and regulations pending before the United States Senate, House of Representatives, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Most recently, Annette testified before the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection on proposed rules implementing Local Law 144 of 2021 on the use of automated employment decision tools and hearings regarding the implementation of proposed laws in Washington D.C.
