Bio:

Mumtaz Vauhkonen, Ph.D is a Director of Data Science at Verizon and heads the Multimodal and Edge AI group focused on Generative AI and Advanced Machine Learning domains including Computer Vision,  IoT, Edge and 5G distributed AI applications. Her experience includes Lead ML Scientist roles at Ford Motor Corporation and Nissan working on AI/ML solutions for Autonomous to Level 3 vehicles, ML roles at Intel Corporation and Enterprise application development with CGEY. She holds a Ph.D from UIUC and research from Stanford in advanced ML, and a Masters from Harvard University.
